Life on the Open Road (part 3)
Well, Hello Again!!! I’m glad you stopped by for this installment of ‘Life on the Open Road’. So, yesterday, my wife and I took our first voyage with our rig. (Meaning...We pulled our camper for the first time with our truck). We have now relocated to a small RV park just outside of Lake Buchanan, TX. However, that is not what I would like to share with you in this installment.
What I WOULD like to share though, is our recent experience at the RV park we just left. It is located just off Interstate 35 at exit 304. Many people know this as the “Bucees” exit. The name of this RV park is “Belaire Junction RV Park”. (No, Will Smith is not here. I did tell my wife however that I could be the new 'Prince of Belaire'). Belaire is a Brand-New Park that opened its doors in October of 2020. They have 27 pull through sites and 90 back in sites. They also have a very nice, gated pet exercise area with “pet” playground equipment. In addition to that there is a laundry facility, showers, and a playground for kids with a splash pad, and of course, free Wi-Fi. Every site has full hook-ups with 30/50-amp service and a picnic table. Also, if you need pavers at your site, you need only ask, and they will be brought to you. Oh, and this park is SUPER CLEAN and Very well kept.
Now, while all of these amenities sound great, (and they are), my opinion is this… The MOST VALUABLE ASSET that this RV park has is its manager. Her name is Linda, and she will treat you like family the minute you walk through the office door. Ms. Linda knows EVERYBODY at this park and is the friendliest and most personable Lady that my wife and I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Linda and her family live on-site in an apartment above the office and they very regularly host meet and greet type gatherings on the covered patio by the splash pad. She is a wealth of information and can give you the names and directions to some of the best restaurants in the local area.
The second MOST VALUABLE ASSET at this park is the maintenance man. His name is David and he and his family also live onsite in an RV. David takes care of all the maintenance and is super friendly. I honestly think the man would give you the shirt off his back if you asked for it. He will always greet you with a smile and wave. Be sure you say hi to him.
